Along the Way

A Saturday Shabbat gathering of Messianic believers who follow Yeshua the Messiah and walk the narrow road together, in Torah, worship, prayer and fellowship.

“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”Psalm 119:105

A day set apart, and people beside you.

Along the Way is a Shabbat gathering for Messianic believers who want to keep the seventh day and follow Yeshua together. We gather on Saturday, and we give the day the time it deserves: no rushing to a finish, only Scripture, worship, prayer and one another.

WelcomeGreeting one another with “Shabbat shalom,” and opening in prayer and blessing.
WordTorah and the Writings read together, with the Gospels and Apostolic writings, and time to discuss.
WorshipSongs and prayer, and each person prayed for by name.
FellowshipUnhurried time together, for as long as the day allows.

Remember the Sabbath day

“Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.”
Exodus 20:8
“The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath.”
Mark 2:27
“There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.”
Hebrews 4:9

The path of the just

Ten passages on walking the godly road. Choose one and stay with it a while.

Equally yoked

A yoke joins two animals so they pull in one direction. Whoever you are joined to, in marriage, in partnership or in close friendship, will shape where you end up.

“Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?”
2 Corinthians 6:14
“Can two walk together, except they be agreed?”
Amos 3:3
“Thou shalt not plow with an ox and an ass together.”
Deuteronomy 22:10

This is a call to walk in step with people who share your direction, and to pray for the ones who don’t, not to look down on them.

Better together

Faith was never meant to be carried alone. Scripture keeps returning to the same idea: people who love God do better when they gather.

“Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow.”
Ecclesiastes 4:9–10
“Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.”
Proverbs 27:17
“For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”
Matthew 18:20
“Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another.”
Hebrews 10:25
“But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another.”
1 John 1:7
